For $500 you, too, can be a VIP in the ToC

I wonder if I had this much disposable income if I'd actually spend it on something like this. (I know, some (though really, how MUCH?) of the money is going to charity, but still.)

They're touting it like it's some amazing thing to ride over the GG bridge and while yes, it would be cool to do it on the main part of the bridge, you already CAN ride over it..for FREE. The more I think about it, the more I think I would NOT spend that much money just to ride over the bridge with the peloton. Suckers.

funny thing is my dad sent me the same thing today with the subject line "hey look a ride you and mom should do!" I replied with, "I am not spending $500 on a bike ride if there is no swim prior and run post".

Whoa, what a pricey bike ride... hope you can find some change in the couch or car ashtray for that one...

Have a good weekend Sarah!

Oh yes, the not so lovely side of marketing...but I bet they get a few chumps to pony up.

for $250 you could pony up the entry fee for the Leadville 100 mountain bike race. line up next to Lance and pedal as hard a you could for all of maybe a mile before you go into oxygen debt and you're dropped. you could tell all your buds you had him on the ropes!
